All of our missionaries seek to live by faith.

We list them here on our website that you might pray for them and pray about what God would have you do to help them. We would love for you to take them on monthly, but also encourage you to give a one-time donation, or give what God asks you to give whenever He lays a particular missionary on your heart. You can donate online through PayPal or you can send a donation to GEMS, 3812 Kirby Parkway, Memphis, TN  38115. Whichever method you choose, please be sure to put the name of the missionary you choose in the memo. Any donations not specified will be put into GEMS general account.

 A great need

The Frankfurt metro area has a population of 5.5 million people encompassing 180 nationalities; It is truly an international melting pot with multiple language and ethnic groups, yet there is currently only one Independent Baptist church reaching that great city. The Lord has greatly burdened us to reach the people of that great city.  We will plant a soulwinning New Testament church, ground Believers in the Word of God, and train nationals to reach their own people. Our prayer card and ministry brochure are available upon request. Please feel free to contact us through GEMS at (901) 795-5407.

The 'jobway' Family

Patrick's Testimony:

I was raised in a christian home, and often heard the gospel. I became convicted around age 14, and initially sought relief by reforming my ways. I agonized over my sins and failures over a period of two years until God gave me light, and I realized that I was incapable of saving myself. I then trusted Christ as my savior. After High school, I moved to Germany where I enrolled in language school and later in Engineering College; while attending college, I surrendered to preach to gospel. I later met my sweetheart in Germany and we were married in 2007. Upon graduation, we both worked a few years for the same German employer before the Lord moved us to GA, where we joined the Oakwood Baptist Church. God has allowed us to serve Him there as bus captain and Sunday school teachers while working full time jobs and attending Bible college. The Lord made clear through circumstances and prayer that He was calling us to reach the people of Germany for Christ.

Christelle's Testimony:

I had the privilege to grow up in a Christian home. My parents got saved before I was born. I got saved when I was 11 years old, I realized I needed Jesus to go to heaven and received Christ as my personal savior a Wednesday afternoon. Soon the Lord began to burden my heart about mission work, and at age 14 , I surrendered my life to serve the Lord wherever he would send me. I have been serving in the Children and Bus Ministries of the Oakwood Baptist Church.

By Missionary Mike Williams:

The story of this goes back to the two years Brooke and I spent in Germany from 2009 to 2011. Fluent in the language and culture, and very well respected, Bro. Patrick and Christelle were tremendous helps to us and won many souls to Christ. In fact, when God moved us out of Germany, I recommended to the church that they ask Bro. Patrick to be the pastor. Bro. Patrick felt at that time that God wanted him to go to the U.S. for Bible School, so he agreed to be the interim pastor and led the church until they found a full-time pastor then he and his wife moved to the U.S. for school. Patrick has since completed Bible College, and we are so excited to be partnering with him to reach Germany and into other parts of Europe for the cause of Christ.
